Alice I remember you wearing a leather skirt and a fluffy jumper/cardigan and thinking I liked the combination so much, and it’s stuck with me and I often wear this combination now - I’ve just realised I think I saw it on you first ! It’s amazing how ‘deep’ hair is, for a seemingly shallow subject… what I like is how as I’ve got older people love the big fluff ball and really appreciate it. So unlike when I was 13 at school and frizz was totally unacceptable

I'm thrilled you like this combination too and it actually became one of the outfits I still felt comfortable in when I stopped straightening my hair :) It is amazing how deep hair is - I do think that 90's/2000's marketing gave frizz a bad name and made curly women suffer. Imagine if we had been born in the 80's, when everyone was getting a perm! Would have been a different hair story altogether ;)

I enjoyed this and realised how much I love curls -- so sad to see girls/teens feel ashamed of them.
